Ok, just down the road from Fox Glacier is a lake called Lake Matheson which is famous for reflecting the mountains that surround it. Its about a 10Km hike around the lake, but coming up to sunset its nice way to relax after spending the morning and afternoon hiking on the glacier. I have not been posting to this site for a couple of reasons. First, the standard fotos are really quite small and difficult to see unless you write your own html. Of course this is very time consuming and I dont' seem to get the urge. Second, the splashy ads are simply too irritating to spend any time on these pages. I realize that ads are necessary, but I don't think they need to be so irritating. I am sorry, but I doubt that would ever click on one of these stupid ads. I have responded to many ads... Steve and Ray went over to Seward to pick up the boat and bring her around. They left early in the morning (can't say dawn, because of course it was so close to the solstice that the sky stayed light all night) and were here by mid-afternoon. The trip was across the top of the Gulf of Alaska, so off the port side was the entire Pacific Ocean. The weather was great, though, and the only rough part was a wind-against-tide coming through Chugach Passage, just before making the turn up into Cook Inlet. View this Fotopage entry
